Free Traffic Strategies For Your Websites

When you work hard to build your website and spend a few long hours to accomplish it, it is time to start driving traffic to the site in order to get sales for the product that you want to sell. And if you do not want or can't pay for traffic, it is time to cover why free traffic strategies for your websites, is really what you want to know.

It is no good just making the website and wait for eye balls to look at it, because if that is all you do after having the site live on the web, I am afraid you are in for a long and painful wait. You now have to be pro-active in creating traffic strategies that bring lots of people to your website.

If you have a tiny budget to pay for traffic, you are better off trying some of the methods for bringing viewers to your website that I am going to explain later on. Better still, use as many free methods as possible to compound the results and therefore get more revenue.

Believe it or not, it happens quite often that people start enthusiastically creating their websites, even making their own products only when all is in place, slack at something as important as getting traffic! Once everything is in place, the juice that bring the results in, must be procured constantly, or else all will be in vane.

Now then, but what are those methods we want to talk about? Most probably you have heard of some of them or may be all of them that I will mention further on so let me start with the first one that you must implement.

The most straight forward strategy to think of for getting targeted traffic to your site or websites is Article Marketing. Yes, this strategy still works, and it is totally free other than the time you spend writing them. And depending how targeted they are around the keywords your prospects search for, they will be very effective in bringing plenty of traffic to your sites.

Imagine you are into Golf for instance, and you want to target several topics like Golf-slice Cure, Powerful Long Drive and Par Pitch. You can write articles to cover each topic, with links to your site where an opt-in page takes the visitors' email addresses or the pay-now buttons are clicked to make you some sales.

Make your articles between 300 and 750 words long and give value for your readers so that they take action on what your bio section asks then to do. Be careful though about writing your articles and don't make them too pitchy; instead concentrate on giving value only, to inform them of some answers, to worm them towards your site.

Submit your articles to article directories, to the top 10 ones. Just make a search in Google for them and start submitting to them to bring a lot of targeted traffic to your site. Get a blog and in your blog posts, promote your products but provide more value to get better results.

Remember that people have to know that your website is about in the World Wide Web, or else no-one will find it, so another way of getting traffic is getting back-links from sites that have high page rank in the major search engines. You need quality links and by that I mean relevant links to your site from sites that have your content or similar in the same niche.

Not having relevancy with the links from other sites to yours, can cause your website being penalized by the major search engines. Clearly this is very damaging because your site could be ignored by the robots, and therefore lose page rank (Google's positioning of your website in their sites rankings).

Google's algorithms are hot on back-linking and they see poor relevancy or none at all, they start investigating until they shut your site down, because if they stop the traffic to your website, you can imagine the result: no business. That will be the result of what Google terms: "Link-farming techniques" or "Black-hat techniques" too.

Another way of increasing traffic to your site which is very popular, is the concept of commenting on forums, important high page rank blogs or on blogs from your same niche. Providing you don't spam and contribute to the articles, posts and relevant sites, you are bound to get more free traffic to your website. You are going to leave a link in your signature, which the members of those forums, or the webmasters will use to get back to your website.

Use also public domain publications, images, software etc. to bring free traffic to your site. How? You know, the information you read there, is royalty free which means you can use it freely and improve it, modify it, make it your own and so on (better to check the current laws of your country though).

From newsletters, ezines, magazines etc. you can get plenty of free traffic too. If you can provide good articles to those publications, you are bound to get traffic to your site too. They will appreciate getting fresh free content from you by coming to your website to read more good stuff.

Using SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is another free way to get traffic to your blog. This technique takes time to take effect but when it is well done it is very effective indeed. But a lot of people don't use it much and it is a mistake not to use it in my view. SEO is very effective in Internet Marketing, so much so, that most webmasters configure their sites with good SEO techniques.

And to finish this post, don't overlook plenty of other strategies like using Squido lenses, Hub-pages, RSS feeds and press releases. A simple search on any of them, can give you plenty of information about their use and benefit to your traffic generation techniques.

Just imagine you using all these techniques all the time, and why not? Just rotate all these methods continuously to see how these free traffic strategies for your website do their work for you.

Press Release Marketing Delivers Traffic

In this tight worldwide economy, business owners are forever seeking to get the most bang for their buck. This is especially true in online marketing where the name of the game is traffic. Without traffic to your site, you can say goodbye to having an online business. So what is the best way to get traffic to your site without breaking the bank? Glad you asked. Think about some of the ways to get traffic: Pay Per Click (PPC), Banner Ads, Press Release Marketing, Article Marketing, and others.

PR Marketing will produce the quickest response, and result in the most amount of links back to your site. It is not uncommon to see over 19,000 links being created after only sending out 6-10 Press Releases, and the SEO value is remarkable. Let us not forget that Google recognizes bona fide News Sites as Authority Sites. What this means is that Google does not like the Free News Sites, as they are treating them like Press Release Directories and the PR's like spam. It is not recommended to go with the Free News Sites, and you may be penalized by the almighty Google. You can find a PR Distribution Package for around $124.95 that includes the writing of the release. The outcome is hundreds and hundreds of links to your site, which translates to the lowest cost per link of any form of online advertising. Also, you can submit the same PR to multiple sites, but you cannot do that with Article Marketing.

Article Marketing requires a unique article for each place it is submitted. People think the answer is to "spin" the articles, but Google is using an algorithm that can recognize these "spun" articles, and you may be penalized for using duplicate content. There are many article directories, but only the high page ranked ones are worth submitting to, such as: EzineArticles.com, BaseArticles.com, GoArticles.com, Amazines.com, and a few others. Think about it, when is the last time you did a search and an article directory came up in the search results. Articles definitely have SEO value, but it takes time, and they work best when used alongside PR Marketing.

In order to improve your websites position in Google Search Results, it's all about having quality content, and links from high page ranked sites to your site. This is how the pro's do it, and so can you. Many online entrepreneurs have seen firsthand how this form of online marketing has saved many web businesses from disaster. Maybe it's time to think about it.
